The Tailory's Guide to Preparing for Your Wedding Gown and Bridal Party Fittings

Before your appointment with us, please review the information below.?

What you need for your first fitting:

As you may already know, before you can have your fitting done for your wedding gown, you will need to buy and have all undergarments that you will be wearing on your wedding day, that is, any bras corsetry or shapewear. This allows for the fitting to be done to the shape your body will take while wearing your undergarments. Undergarments can greatly affect the fit of your gown, so please have all of your undergarments or you will not be able to be fitted.

Please note that if you choose to change your undergarments after Sara has started working on your gown and changes need to be made due to fitting differences, you will be charged extra to make these changes, so please have all of your undergarments.

You will also need the shoes that you will be wearing so that we can mark your hemline correctly. They have to be the actual shoes, not shoes that are similar, or have similar heel height to the actual ones you will wear. If you plan on changing heel height during your wedding day, (ex: high heels in the morning, flats in the evening), you need all of the shoes that you will wear that day on the day of your fitting. Please note that changing heel height causes the need for additional bustles. Although it is not customary for a bride to change shoes, if you are considering it, keep in mind that it is a high cost alteration since we will need to add sufficient bustling to create the proper hem length change.

?Please not that if you hire us to come out to fit, and Sara is not able to fit you due to lack of the necessary items, you will be charged a second $50 fee for travel and time..
